Dr. Hankle, DDS

Dr. HankleDr. Hankle grew up in York and graduated from Dallastown Area High School in 2001. As a John Marshall Scholarship recipient, she attended Franklin and Marshall College where she majored in neuroscience and minored in art history, and she graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 2005.

Following college, Dr. Hankle pursued a dental education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. As a dental student, she was a member of the American Student Dental Association and active in volunteer activities such as Give Kids a Smile Day through the pediatric dentistry club. She also completed additional coursework and training in clinical anesthesiology.

Dr. Hankle received her DMD degree in 2009, graduating as valedictorian of her class. During her four years at Pitt, Dr. Hankle received several honors and scholarships, including a School of Dental Medicine 1st professional scholarship, the Minnie F. Glickman Memorial Scholarship, the Ruth Semenow Friedman Scholarship, Dean’s List with Honors, the Elliott Brodie Award for Clinical Competence, and student awards from the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and the American Academy of Oral Medicine. Dr. Hankle also received honors from the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society.

Dr. Hankle enjoys reading, art history, traveling, and spending time at the beach and with her family. Her brother David is an officer in the United States Marine Corps, and her parents currently reside in York, where her father, who also attended dental school at Pitt, has an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice. She is a member of Rotary Club of York and Leadership York. Dr. Hankle is very excited to be returning to York and to be joining Dr. Hoffman in practice and to becoming involved as a member of the York community.
